Lenses: Andy Wolf – find them at Merivale Vision Care, if this lazy girl doesn’t fall asleep on them first!

Spring triggers a lot of memories for me – it’s a time of year that always seems to have some sort of significance .. the smell of wet grass before soccer practice, my first marathon, and the first days of the big frenchman’s courtship (that’s right, I’m using that word). Now, I get to add another event to that roster of Spring occurrences – Merivale Vision Care‘s annual trunk show which is happening TOMORROW, May 11 from 4-8PM at Merivale Vision Care.

A few years ago I started working with Merivale Vision Care thanks to a referral from an awesome boss lady, and I’m so happy to continue to work with this team of bright, young, inspiring people. Every year, Merivale hosts a trunk show that features exclusive collections from amazing designers, fab discounts, prizes and yummy treats – this year Kate Spade, Tommy Hilfiger, Dior and Eco by Modo – the last being my favourite, because it’s made of 95% recycled content AND a tree is planted every time a pair of lenses is purchased. Insert heart-eyes emoji here.

Like past years, this event benefits the Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind – a very worthy cause – and there is at least always one furry guest of honour in attendance. I would love to share the awesomeness of this amazing local business with you over a glass of bubbly and some delicious treats – this year, it’s extra special because Merivale is celebrating 30 years in business! Now you can meet the amazing group behind such great success and get to understand why – for more details about the event, click here.

And in the meantime, I leave you with some pics featuring lenses from Merivale, some silly characters that I turned into, AND a GIF that I created BY MYSELF (as in, with the help of the big frenchman because I am technically inept, but it’s got me REALLY excited because, well, OMG I didn’t know you could DIY that stuff!)

Lenses: Caroline Abram @Merivale Vision Care – or maybe you can find them in 1962?

Lenses: Eco by Modo at Merivale Vision Care – where being nerdy about life is cool; find me there!

OMG. Alyssa. Your outfits are so onpoint and the gifs are adorable!! I’m praying there will be a pup there tomorrow evening. I know you aren’t supposed to cuddle and coddle guide dogs, but I’m gonna cuddle and coddle that guide dog. LOL!

    That crocheted sweater is AMAZING.
